Sophie, Pet Sitter
My name is Sophie and I am currently an undergraduate student at UC Davis studying animal science on the pre veterinary track. Living on a farm on the island of Oahu sparked my love for animals at a young age, and I have always known I wanted to pursue a career revolving around animal care. I chose to attend UC Davis with the goal of being accepted into their Veterinary School one day, but until then I love to spend any time I can around the presence of a furry friend! I have worked with many different species of animals from farm animals to exotic and companion animals. In the past few years I have had the opportunity to work with services like the Wetlands Wildlife Care Center and different pet adoption services to gather hands-on experiences with animals and gain insight in the world of veterinary medicine. This past year I worked at UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in the Equestrian Neonatal ICU which further inspired my fascination with veterinary medicine and I hope to continue gaining these unique experiences!
