
Lauren, Sitter Manager
Lauren is a Sacramento, CA native who grew up in a house filled with dogs and cats, and fell in love with horses when she was 10 years old. Lauren spends her weekends volunteering for various non-profits, as well as pet sitting around the town of Davis. She also teaches beginning horseback riding lessons at a barn in Woodland. She currently only owns two animals – a black kitty named Bagheera or “Baggy”, and a thoroughbred horse named Gallon. She graduated from UC Davis in December 2018 with a B.S. degree in Animal Science, and hopes to continue on to veterinary school. She enjoys getting to spend time with animals of all shapes and sizes!
Cydney, Client Manager and Pet Sitter
Cydney has been working with animals her entire life, starting as a young girl working with cattle on an Angus ranch here in Davis. When she was in grade school she participated in 4H for nine years raising pigs for the local show. She also participated in FFA while in high school for 6 years, she raised Turkeys, Goats and Veal Calf’s which she showed at the Yolo County Fair.She has always had a passion for animals and has kept herself surrounded by them throughout her entire life. Cydney currently owns a Paint/Arabian horse named Sierra that she takes on trail rides, to various shows and competes in Gymkhana with. She also owns a small yorkie named Lulu that she loves dearly and takes along with her on many adventures. Aside from working with animals, Cydney works at UC Davis as the advising assistant in the undergraduate counseling office while going to school online at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in psychology. She would like to become a counselor when she is complete with her education to be able to help people, another one of her passions. She loves to care for animals of all kinds and enjoys having the opportunity to get to meet different pets as they all have their own unique personalities.
Katie, Social Media Manager and Pet Sitter
Katie moved to California from Iowa. She is a UC Davis student majoring in Music and Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology. She has had several rescue dogs including a Catahoula/Great Dane mix, a border collie/setter mix, a Heinz 57 mutt, and a German Shepherd/Great Dane mix. Family pets also include two Anglo-Nubian goats. Additionally, Katie has been riding horses since she was four. In addition to animals, Katie enjoys textile arts and playing oboe for the UCD Concert Band.
Allison, Pet Sitter
Originally from Los Angeles County, Allison recently moved to Davis to begin veterinary school. Allison has always loved caring for animals and grew up surrounded by all sorts of pets, including dogs, cats, rats, fish, and a lizard. After earning a B.A. in Communication and an M.A. in History, she is so thankful to have discovered a true passion for veterinary medicine. Allison spent the last year as a doctor’s assistant at an emergency and specialty animal hospital. In her free time, she likes to knit, watch movies, and hang out with family and friends. She is excited to serve the Davis community.
Andrew, Pet Sitter
Originally from Missouri, Andrew recently moved to Sacramento to start university. He plans to study computers, including how to build and fix them. Andrew loves cats & dogs, and grew up surrounded by pets. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games with his friends and walking around downtown to find good food. He is excited to meet everyone’s pets and serve the APP community!
Emma, Pet Sitter
Emma grew up in Sonoma County, surrounded by a family who loved animals. As a young child, she enjoyed cuddles and naps with her big yellow lab, Arlo, and she had future plans to become a vet. As a young teen, she fostered a small black puppy, Zoe, who was later adopted by a loving young couple. When she got older she knew she wanted to help and care for animals, but she also wanted to follow her passion for art and creativity. During her second year of college, she had the wonderful opportunity, through a local rescue, to care for a pregnant momma cat from Davis, Lily. While in her care, Lily had five beautiful kittens; three girls named Rose, Poppy, and Jade, and two boys named Lupin, later Jasper, and Otis. Currently, Emma is attending UC Davis and majors in studio art with a focus in education and lives with her best friend, Isaac, and her two loves, Jade and Jasper. She plans on pursuing a career in art and later working with a rescue to continue fostering.
Asher, Pet Sitter
Asher grew up in Virginia, but moved to California two years ago to attend college at UC Davis. He is a huge animal lover, and has always had at least three pets growing up at all times. He has had everything from rats to snakes, and loves every kind of animal. He currently lives with his three sweet cats, Luna, Beau, and Nox (pictured above on a walk). When not spending time with animals, he enjoys playing video games, reading, and watching anime. He is very excited to meet everyone’s furry friends and to give them the great care they deserve.
Madison, Pet Sitter
Madison is originally from Tracy, CA but moved to Davis in 2021 to pursue a degree in Animal Biology at UC Davis. Her lifelong dream has always been to become a veterinarian because she has a huge passion for helping animals and her community. She has been surrounded by animals her entire life, including volunteering with her local Animal Rescue as a Cat Cuddler for over six years! At home, Madison has two dogs, a rescue German Shepperd mix and a mini Pitbull, a Siamese mix cat, a Parrot, and two Red-eared Slider turtles. In her free time, Madison loves to read, watch movies, and get outside. She is extremely excited to serve her community by helping care for your beloved pets!
Danielle, Pet Sitter
Danielle grew up on a small farm in Lucerne Valley, Ca, which is where her love of animals began. She has since graduated with her B.S. degree in Animal Science and eventually wants to pursue her dream of becoming a large animal veterinarian. Danielle has worked with many species of animals including, livestock, horses, and companion animals but currently works as an animal technician caring for primates. She absolutely loves cats and has two of her own; Peanut and Winston. She looks forward to caring for and playing with all of your pets!
Amanda, Pet Sitter
Amanda grew up in Virginia, but has lived in Davis for 20 years and has always been fascinated with animals. Family lore holds that as a toddler, Amanda would amuse herself by walking around the house with the family dog’s food bowl while the beagle patiently followed her around until she put it down. Growing up, she fondly remembers gently holding and admiring small lizards while playing outdoors, and caring for pet parakeets named Rover and Jitters. She once spent a week in Hawaii fascinated by carpenter bees that swarmed around a plant-covered arbor where she was staying. As an adult she has had feline roommates, and currently lives with a domestic longhaired tuxedo cat named Isabelle, a domestic shorthaired street rescue named Tobi, her husband, and the occasional bees, lizards, and hummingbirds who visit their yard. Amanda approaches all creatures with compassion and empathy.
Jorge, Pet Sitter
Jorge has lived in Davis for over 5 years. During that time he has rescued Fishes and Cats but also worked with reptiles, dogs, and farm animals. Enjoys anything that involves spending time outdoors and interacting with nature and animals.

Hi Hi! My name is Nicole, an Animal Science major at UC Davis with a passion for animal health and wellness! I grew up in the Bay Area constantly surrounded by animals. This past summer I traveled to Thailand for a veterinary internship which solidified my goals to be a traveling vet and own my own clinic in the future. I hope to be in vet school within the next few years and actively working with animals across the globe! I cannot wait to treat your pets like my own with lots of love!

Caring for animals has always been Nicole’s passion. She is currently an undergraduate student at UC Davis, and will be applying to veterinary school this cycle in order to pursue a career helping animals. She has owned and worked with animals throughout her life, and is excited to meet your furry friends!
